Rangers pitcher Rich Harden has agreed to move into the team's bullpen. Texas will slide Derek Holland into the fifth spot of their starting rotation. Holland will start for the Rangers on Friday.

Manny Ramirez joined the White Sox on Tuesday, but he was not in the team's starting lineup against the Indians. Ramirez showed up at Progressive Field in Cleveland with his dreadlocks intact, but that may change if he plays immediately. The White Sox have an appearance policy and they expect Ramirez to conform to it.

The Rays defeated the Jays 6-2 on Monday night in front of just 11,968 fans at Tropicana Field. Carlos Pena homered and drove in four runs as Wade Davis won his sixth straight decision.

The Mets are expected to start pitcher Jenrry Mejia on Saturday against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Mejia turned in a dominant performance for Triple-A Buffalo on Monday night. He made New York's roster as a reliever coming out of spring training, but the club soon decided to send him back to the minors to continue his development as a starter.

The Reds plan to call up pitcher Aroldis Chapman before Tuesday's game against the Brewers. Cincinnati is looking to bolster their bullpen for the stretch run. Chapman recently threw a 105 mph fastball as a reliever for Triple-A Louisville. "I think Dusty [Baker] will ease him into a role until he gets his feet on the ground, he gets accustomed to pitching up here," general manager Walt Jocketty said. "Then depending on how he does, we'll see how the role develops."

Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda took a no-hitter into the eighth inning against the Phillies on Monday night. Los Angeles won their first game without Manny Ramirez 3-0 at Dodger Stadium. Shane Victorino, hitless in seven career at-bats against Kuroda, hit a clean line-drive single to right field on Kuroda's 97th pitch of the game to break up the no-hitter. "I got a good fastball to hit over the middle of the plate and belt-high, something I could handle," Victorino said. "Every other guy was going up there trying to get a base hit, too, but it just didn't happen."

Manny Ramirez will join the White Sox on Tuesday. "I want him to feel comfortable here," manager Ozzie Guillen said Monday. "I want him to like it here. I want him to have fun and I want him to be Manny." Chicago wants Ramirez to stretch with his teammates and be on the field for the national anthem. He also may have to trim his dreadlocks. "Hopefully, he can come in here and give us some help," White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko said. "We need to make up some ground. There's no doubt Manny can hit. He makes any team better."

The Rockies are looking for a relief pitcher, according to Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman.

Roger Clemens entered a not guilty plea Monday to charges of lying to Congress about whether he used steroids or human growth hormone. Clemens entered his plea in U.S. District Court. If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine.

The Blue Jays have decided to shut down pitcher Brandon Morrow. Morrow will start one more time this season before Toronto puts him on the shelf. He is 10-6 with a 4.27 ERA in 143 1/3 innings for the Jays this season.
